Easter Card

Hi! I totally love the sample cards posted by the design team for this week's sketch at FMS. Truly inspiring CAS (clean and simple) creations! Here is my card for this week Freshly Made Sketches challenge by Rita Wright.

I am sure all of you are in the process of making lots of wonderful Easter day cards by now. I've been wanting to make an Easter card myself since I started my crafting hobby because I love the pretty colors of Easter. So here, I picked pink, yellow, orange and light green embroidery thread to decorate my card. I used kraft card as base and layered it with white card to show up the bright thread colors. I adore the cute little bird stamp from Inkadinkado. I embossed it and layered it on a pink circle and green scallop punch card.

Thank you and have a beautiful Easter weekend!

Smile Card

Hello! Again popping in to post a card that I made for this week Freshly Made Sketches by Jen Mitchell. It was quite a challenging sketch... I planned something and ended up with this Smile card.

I tried to keep it simple with the white polka dots base card. I have had some paper flowers that I made months ago and decided to use one of them to embellish this card. The sentiment is embossed with clear embossing powder.

Thank you and have a great weekend!

Congrats!

It was another great week to play on FMS sketch! I loved this Freshly Made Sketches by Jennifer Timko. I have always wanted to make a card with circles in it. So, I decided to play with my circle punch this time and came up with this casual congrats card :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Surf Board Birthday Card

Hi there! I just started crafting again, after my vacation. So, here is my recent creation on the beach theme. A colorful single layer surf board birthday card displayed in a beach wood stand.
The wooden stand was made of ice cream sticks (which I bought, honestly!) The sticks were inked with brown color to match the wood color and allowed to dry. First, I roughly sketched the veins on a kraft card using black ink pen and then cut the card into wood shape with edges. This was then glued on to every ice cream stick and allowed to dry overnight. Next, I glued the sticks vertically, side by side on the base stick with half inch of gap. The horizontal stick was then glued across the two sides of the stand. I focused mainly on creating a sturdy wood stand which provides balance and able to hold the card.
The sentiment was hand written on a black pattern paper which later was cut into two wood shapes. Next, I drew the coconut trees above the waves using black ink pen. I put two starfishes on the waves and finished off the card. I used glossy accent to make them look real. So, that's all for the card!
Also, I have made a box (6.5" x 4.5" x 1") to place the card and wood stand.

Enjoy and have an awesome weekend!
